NOVELTY is a group exhibition that brings together the work of seven artists to explore the boundaries between what is perceived to be new and novel in contemporary art now. These seven artists are exhibiting sculptures, installations and prints, which demonstrate that in the way in which they create, they are approaching new ideas for the future of art making.
A sight specific exhibition of painting, installation, sculpture and performance.

Caroline Gardens was originally known as the Licensed Victualler’s Benevolent Institution Asylum. However, despite being called an ‘Asylum’, it was not a home for lunatics. Instead, the word was used in its older sense of 'sanctuary' and it was in fact an old folks’ home for retired pub landlords. Many of its residents are thought to have been alcoholics and were addressed as ‘Diseased Brethren’ by the first Chaplain of Caroline gardens Chapel.
